This website reflects my long term project to paint scenes from seven of my favourite walks around Porlock. Although this is not yet complete, I have named the combined work “Short Walks for 54 Year Olds”. This website is a record of progress so far and as a result will change as I produce more.

Each of the seven walks is marked on the map below with links to pages that have a description of the walk and a selection of paintings of notable scenes along the way. The walks vary in length and difficulty and combine wonderful seascapes with dramatic landscapes.

The original paintings are on average 20 inches by 18 inches and painted on high quality Arches paper. The originals are for sale either framed or unframed as are full sized prints and sets of cards.

The paintings represent a personal view but I believe that they capture the variety and special qualities of the area.
